For brush application, Permalac in one gallon containers is ready to use. For spray application, thin with either #281 or #69 Thinners (see below). Permalac air dries to the touch in less than 5 minutes. It dries hard in an hour or so, depending on the film thickness, temperature etc. Permalac may also be force dried faster with heat up to 250 F. Product is available in Satin/Gloss (use 2 coats for satin finish and additional 2 coats for a gloss look), Semi-Matte and Matte Finishes.

Permalac Exterior Lacquer can be ordered in convenient 12 ounce spray cans. Be sure to specify what finish you'd like: gloss, satin, semi matte, or matte. Spray cans can be ordered in a 12 unit case; specify satin, gloss, matte or semi- matte (use 2 coats for satin finish and additional 2 coats for a gloss finish).

Permalac Black is formulated to bond with the substrate without hazardous organic lead compounds. Apply by brush, spray or flow coating methods. Thin with Permalac #281 Thinner as needed. Approximate coverage is 400 sq. ft. per gallon. Shelf life is indefinite as long as lid is properly sealed. It is to be considered a hazardous material and should be disposed of appropriately.

Red tinted Permalac is also available.

Permalac 2KA is a two-part clear base coat formulated to act as a hard non-yellowing receiving coating for decorative applications. Usage: Mix 1 part of Permalac 2KA with 1 part of Permalac 2KB. Spray 3 coats and leave overnight for drying. Mixture has a pot life of about 8 hours at room temperature. Flammable Liquid. It is to be considered a hazardous material and should be disposed of appropriately.

Permalac 2KB
Permalac 2KB is required to form a base coat to receive silver for decorative applications. Usage: Mix 1 part of Permalac 2KA with 1 part of Permalac 2KB. Spray 3 coats and leave overnight to dry. Can be cured in 45 minutes at 65° C. Mixture has a pot life of about 8 hours at room temperature. Flammable Liquid. It is to be considered a hazardous material and should be disposed of appropriately.
